Our Third Annual Sprint and Half Ironman showcased some of New England's most talented Elite Athletes, as well as a large number of first time triathletes; As Maine’s only two day festival and only Half Ironman, the Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival has become one of New England’s most popular and premier events for both athletes and spectators alike.
With over 200 volunteers, 30
plus sponsors and 900 athletes, our Non-profit event raised a
great deal of money for both local youth athletic programs and
student scholarship programs.
New for the 2010 Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival, ZumTri race animations and
race reports will be available. ZumTri is a new web-based Flash application
that shows a virtual race, complete with swimming, cycling and running
animations competing against each other on a map of the course. The
technology converts chip-timing results into an interactive race
visualization by calculating the athlete’s pace to estimate positions
throughout the race.

Along with with animations, the scoreboard provides information like race
time, speed, overall place, age-group place and place among friends and
rivals. Beyond the race graphics, participants can also look at several
charts and graphs to help you analyze your ranking for each leg, and where
you fit in the overall time of the race.
