“I race 25+ times a year and the Pumpkinman Triathlon weekend is always my favorite race weekend. It’s a great venue location and the whole community gets involved which gives this race an amazing atmosphere that you can’t find anywhere else.  Plus you can’t beat the food!”

“You guys did a great job. There were a ton of volunteers and they all did a great job…..an amazing job on the course directing me which way to turn. Overall I thought it was a great race and would definitely recommend this to anyone. Also I thought the awards were great. I think it is the best race I have done in Maine.”

“Thanks a ton for a great race. That was a blast! Rarely have I ever felt that safe on a race course. The volunteers did a great job of making sure that every turn, intersection, and aid station was very well-manned. The pre- and post-race meals were second to none. That stuffing was fantastic!Cait and I are absolutely planning on coming back up in 2009.”

“After doing a race like this (just 1 hour from Boston), I wonder why so many of the races we do are in population dense areas. It’s just so much nicer to have plenty of room to get around the venue with ample parking. Given this great experience, I plan to go back next year and will encourage our QT2 athletes to do the same. This is just a top notch race overall. The icing on the cake was an unbelievable Turkey dinner for all athletes following the race. And when I say turkey dinner, I mean all the fixings!”

“As a first time triathlete I appreciated the amazing support of all the volunteers. Every time I saw a yellow shirt on the course I knew a positive encouraging phrase was about to come, and that thought alone kept my momentum up. The entire event was organized!! organized!! organized!! I never felt lost as an athlete, all areas were well marked and directions were always clear from the start. My family appreciated the communications over the loud speaker, they felt that it was real helpful to know who was coming in next and what to expect. I also appreciated the emails from the start, I enjoyed reading the expectations and course regulations. I found that having all the information presented in an early fashion helped me get ready for the race as an athlete as well as mom. My family was well taken care of while I was out racing, which gave me great peace of mind and space to focus on the race. So without sounding redundant, thank you for offering such a wonderful race, I can’t wait for my next one, I’ve caught the triathlon fever. You can be sure that my team of seven moms will be back next year. Thanks again.”

“What a great race. Our tri group had a blast today. The volunteers were so helpful and friendly. The course was well marked and the road management was stellar. I always felt safe. Love the beach start. The post race food was outstanding. Great selection and choices. Very different and some of the best food I have had racing. You raised the bar today for New England races. Congratulations on #1. Regards,”

“You folks put together a really well run, FUN race….. The race was one thing, JUST GREAT – great volunteers, great course and venue! Did anyone tell you about the great view from the pond. While I was warming up, I stopped and turned to look in at the shore and I was amazed at the panorama I beheld! Thanks again, I’ll see you next year – five decades next year, at the bottom of a new age group!!!”

“Kathleen, or Kat if I may–
I want to thank you so much for making my first triathlon possible at the Pumpkinman yesterday. I had an absolute blast even though I ate humble pie with lots of water during the swim. Thank you so much for all of your support and help with getting me organized and set up for my debut. I’ll be back. I was most impressed with all of your volunteers. They were all so were helpful, supportive, accommodating and pleasant. You have built an amazing team and you should all be very proud of your debut. Kudos!”
